Sunny Saturday in Maine

Last Saturday was surprisingly hot. I managed to wear a skirt without need of tights and I was warm enough to survive.

After living in Bulgaria for almost 7 years I got used to sunny weather all year round. But here in Maine life is different… Its May and the highest temperature is about 60s, with rain, thunderstorms and clouds all day long. The sunny weather like this is something I was praying to God for and finally I can enjoy the first sign of sunny days coming.

I have to confess something, I almost forgot about my blog. I wasn’t feeling like wearing fancy clothes and taking any photos…

These pictures are from Sunday. After spending all weekend seating at the couch/chilling/watching polish TV/eating home made hamburgers, polish kielbasa, fried clams and drinking beer we came up with an idea to move our ass and go for a walk. Our destination – Kennebunkport, ME.

The most comfortable boots ever. I am glad I bought them. Love the vintage looking leather and love the studs…very unique. You can still purchase them from UO for $29.99(what a steal!!!) – available in black and brown.

We took a lot of photos today, so I had a very hard time picking the right ones for the blog. My photographer did a great job and he made me feel very comfortable and beautiful while taking the pictures. Sometimes I am really ashamed of my poses but today I am not.

Fotograf spisał się na medal. Zrobiliśmy mnóstwo zdjęć, ja czułam się nieskrępowana i zarazem piękna. Muszę przyznać, że nawet miałam problem z wyborem odpowiednich zdjęć na bloga. Tym razem nawet moje głupie pozy nie zepsuły mi humoru.

We were having a small party in our house and after that in the evening I was heading to my friends mother 105th birthday celebration, so I wanted to feel comfortable and nice. I was planning to wear a cute creamy dress that I got some time ago from UO but I knew that it will be too cold for that. That is why I ended up with the same pair of Levi’s as yesterday and a simple tank top with a “fluffy something” at front – that makes my boobs look really big and a sparkle sweater from UO.

Mama mojego dobrego przyjaciela obchodziła dziś swoje 105 urodziny, dlatego też chciałam ubrać się stosownie do okazji. Jeszcze wczoraj w planie miałam założenie kremowej sukienki, którą zamówiłam parę tygodni temu z UO, jednak dziś po spojrzeniu na termometr zmieniłam zdanie. Postawiłam na wygodę. Wybrałam ulubione spodnie Levi’s (podobnie zresztą jak i wczoraj), biały podkoszulek z ciekawą aplikacją z poszarpanego białego materiału z przodu – aplikacja ta sprawia, że moje piersi wydają się większe, a do tego czarny sweter przeszywany złotą nitką z UO.

By saying the thing about the tank top I really meant it. In reality my boobs are much smaller. LOL.

Dla sprostowania moje piersi w rzeczywistości nie są takie duże… buah…

FYI I was wearing the jacket before and after taking these photos. The whole photo shoot took about 5 minutes. I couldn’t stand it any longer because of the freezing cold (8F).

Gdyby ktoś pytał, miałam kurtkę przed i po robieniu zdjęć. Cała sesja zajęła około 5 minut. Więcej bym nie wytrzymała!

Here I am again! This time I decided to wear a skirt and my new tights as well as my funky oxford shoes (Finally I have found the right ones just for $23). Thanks God it wasn’t that windy at the sea side so I managed to spend almost 15 minutes walking by the sea and enjoying the free time.

Looking at the pictures you can tell that I was freezing but hell… I though I have to sacrifice in order to fashion bloggers.

Making a funny poses and trying not to fall down from the slippery rock.

My photographer has found a huge clam laying next the rock I was standing at. It’s called quahog clam. And it is very common throughout New England.

The large clams like this one have the toughest meat and they are used in such dishes as clam chowder, clam cakes or stuffed clams. That is why today we decided to make a chowder with the clam we found.

Finally it is much warmer here in Maine! Sun is shining and I feel like spending the day outdoors doing some household activities around the house.

I am trying to find a PERFECT leather jacket lately. But it is really hard to find something nice and good quality and don’t go over the budget. I decided to not to spend more than $50 for a jacket.

Rocking my F21 hat, UO shirt, Marshalls vest and H&M leggings.

Handmade belt.

I love the pattern of leaves and tiny horses on this shirt. I feel very autumn wearing it.

Here is a small peek of a little fellow that lives under our porch. Say hi to Chip, our chipmunk!

I was bidding gorgeous Marc Jacobs red rubber rain boots on ebay some minutes ago and… I lost the bid : ( Feel so bad about it. I was craving to get them for a long time and I lost.

I had plans to go to the beach today, but the weather was not good at all. After a quick chat with my friend Michelle, we decided to go to the Maine Mall in Portland to do some shopping. Considering that my budget was limited I did not expected that I will come back home with so many things. I bought a lovely pair of silver shoes, cute skirt, some jewelry and finally I have found the bag I liked.

The pictures were taken on Sunday. It was a very sunny day, I have been whale watching on a boat. I have seen some dolphins, seals and a Mickey whale.

A simple t-shirt decorated with sequins.

I know that it makes me look fat, but who cares? I love this piece of clothing. It goes with everything: jeans, shorts, skirts. And the sequin ornament is so nice.
