Chciałabym się z Wami podzielić paroma projektami nad którymi pracowałam przez ostatnich kilaka dni.

I am positive about this year Valentine’s day and I even got prepared by making these super cute red hearted cup stands. I have used red and gray felt and some red, round beads to do that.

It took me about 5 minutes to make one cup stand.

Another project of mine  – Valentine’s earrings.

P.S. Just had a short chat with 5 small squirrels that landed on my windowsill. So cute! I see them playing in the snow now!

The very first piece I have made was a necklace.

I have made it from 100% natural wool felt + different beads.

Later on I decided to try if I could make a pair of earrings. To do that I made felt balls using a wet felting technique.

Smaller balls are made from 3 different colors and wet felted.

The next project took me a few hours to make. Flower earrings with small seed beads accenting the center.

I am really happy with a result, I haven’t expected them to be so adorable in person. I can wear them everyday with jeans and t-shirts and they are going to accomplish any outfit. The color choice is not random, I wanted my earrings to be in Autumn/Winter colors.

The very next piece is one of my favorite and it is made from red wool + pearls in the center of each flower.

I think that is the most sophisticated design I have ever made.

Looking at these earrings you can tell that Christmas is coming because of the silver snowflake on top of the each earring and the red felted ball.

I am definitely wearing these at Christmas time.

Maciej making Caterpillar roll.

Slice the avocado into very thin (but still thick enough so they don’t tear when you put them on your sushi) slices. Roll the sushi inside-out, using cucumber, Philadelphia spread cheese, smoked salmon as your fillings (How to roll inside-out maki?). Place the avocado slices overlapping on the sushi.

Using a very sharp knife, cut the sushi.

Mmmmmmmmmmm… I LOVE SUSHI!!

Baskets containing eggs, lamb made from sugar, salt, bread, ham, sausage (polish: kiełbasa), horseradish, pepper and Easter babka are brought to the church to be blessed on Holy Saturday. The priest sprinkles individual baskets with the holy water.

What I Wore:

I wanted to wear something casual today, so I chose my favorite pair of jeans and a brown jacket from GAP. I also wore a beautiful Gucci scarf that I got for my birthday. Since March 27 I am wearing it all the time.

How to color Easter eggs with onion skins:

Fill a cooking pot with cold water and place the onion skins in. Add the eggs and bring to a boil (just as you would normally cook hard boiled eggs).

The color depends on what kind of onion skins you use. I like mine dark brown, that is why I have used red onion skins. You can use regular onion and have your eggs yellow.

You can use a knife to make patterns on the eggs.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup butter

115 g rindless streaky bacon, diced

250g frozen chicken livers, thawed, drained and diced

2 garlic clowes

2 tsp chopped fresh sage

300g dried farfalle / rotini (You can choose your favorite pasta)

2/3 cup dry white wine

4 ripe Italian plum tomatoes, diced

1 tbsp chopped fresh flat leaf parsley

salt and ground pepper

Preparation:

1. Melt half the butter in a medium skillet or soucepan, add the bacon and fry over a medium heat for few minutes until it is lightly coloured but not crisp.

2. Add the chicken livers, garlic, half the sage and plenty of pepper. Increase the heat and toss the livers for about 5 minutes, until they change colour all over. Meanwhile, start cooking the pasta according to the instructions on the packet.

3.Pour the wine over the chicken livers in the pan and let it sizzle, then lower the heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Add the remaining butter to the pan. As soon as it has melted, add the diced tomatoes, toss to mix, then add the remaining sage and the parsley. Stir well. Taste and add salt if needed.

4. Drain the pasta and tip into a warmed bowl. Pour the souce over and toss well. Serve immediately.

Homemade bulgarian red wine.

Needless to say how delicious it was!

- mushrooms

- white bulgarian cheese

- edam cheese

- lukanka (bulgarian salami)

- tomatoes

- frizzle ham

Combine eggs, water,splash of milk, salt, chili and pepper in a medium-sized bowl. Beat with a fork until combined but not too frothy.

Place a  filling on one half of the omelet.

Fold over and let it cook for an extra 2-4 minutes. Slide onto a plate.

Enjoy!!
